Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

On the 11th of March, I got  a phone call from my step Mum, telling me Dad had died from a heart attack.

Dad did have a heart condition, but the Doctor's said they hadn't seen anyone as active as he was. He loved to cycle, and we often cycled together. Dad showed no signs of struggling near the end, he seemed fine. We were all taken by surprise. In memory of him, I will cycle 100km and raise money for the BHF. So that - one day - no other families will have to suffer the tragedy of an unexpected loss due to heart disease.

The ride will take place on the 1st of August.
