Story
We have done running and swimming....so now a crazy long cycle seems appropriate!
In 2017 we lost a wonderful friend to ovarian cancer. Sabrina was 20 when she passed away, having been diagnosed the year before. No matter what, she still did absolutely everything she physically could, including board games and dogs walks with one of her best pals Jasper. She was super supportive of all our fundraising efforts for the fantastic Target Ovarian Cancer, although we can almost hear what she would say about this one given Fi's bike clumsiness and that Bex has only just learnt how to use her gears...
We will be cycling from York to Edinburgh, stopping in (roughly) Middlesbrough, North Shields, Bamburgh and Galashiels. We plan to leave on September 30th, giving us plenty of time to arrive ready for the Target Ovarian Cancer Edinburgh 10k run a few days later. Fi's planned a 'scenic' (read, hilly) route over the Moors on Day 1...
Target Ovarian Cancer is a fantastic charity that provide information and support about ovarian cancer. They do excellent campaigns to raise awareness of the symptoms and personally supported several of us through Sab's illness and passing. We would be so grateful for any and all donations, both for a really worthwhile cause and in memory of our wonderful Sab.
Lots of love,
Bex and Fi
