Story

Cycling For Bryan!

This year, during Covid-19, MND association needs our support more than ever. Instead of our usual cycle around Shropshire, on Sunday 17th May 2020 we will all take part in a 50km virtual or individual road cycle! Every year we extend our fundraising target (which started in 2015) which currently stands at a remarkable £42,413 and for 2020 we are aiming to raise another £5,000.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support!

Background

In June 2014 Bryan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. The toughest news to hear for Bryan and all his family and friends, knowing when there is no cure for the disease.

In 2015 friends and family cycled the from John O'Groats to Lands End, and raised an amazing amount of money through these efforts and a fundraising dinner at Telford International Arena.

In April 2016, Catherine, Bryan's daughter raised funds for MND by running the London Marathon, then in May 2016 a group cycled from Shrewsbury to Abergavenny and continued to raise money.

Sadly Bryan passed away in September 2016.

Each year family and friends of Cycling For Bryan get together to raise funds and awareness for the MND association and in memory of Bryan and have raised an amazing amount of money for MNDA.

This year, during Covid-19, MND association need our support more than ever. Instead of our usual cycle, on Sunday 17th May 2020 we will all take part in a 50km virtual or individual road cycle
