Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Approximately 7,400 people suffer a Stroke each year in Wales. In May, Cardiff and Vale's Stroke Service and our patients (along with family and friends) are attempting to run and cycle a total of 7,400 miles while trying to raise £7,400 for the Stroke Association.

After 6 months working on the stroke unit in Llandough hospital I have had the privilege to see the incredible resilience shown by our patients every day in the face of great adversity. To show my support I am pledging 1000 miles over the month of May with the aim to raise £1000 for the stroke association and the fantastic work they do. Any donations big or small would be massively appreciated!
