Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

We did it, and managed to exceed our target by more than 250km!!!

We divided our amazing trip into 3 stages:

1. Warm up - Calais to Boulogne. (40km)

2. Main stage - Orleans to Nantes along the River Loire. (360km)

3. Beach stage - Nantes to La Rochelle along the Atlantic Coast. (400km)

We have now raised more than 50% of our target and are still aiming to push it all the way. We loved every single bit of our journey: sleeping in the forest, discovering beautiful Chateaux, swimming in the Ocean and obviously cycling along some of the most picturesque cycle paths in Europe.

However, there were times where our bodies were completely exhausted: cycling 130km between Saumur and Nantes in 1 day, climbing massive hills along the D940 between Calais and Boulogne and cycling in constant heat for 2 weeks.

We have proven to everyone that we were capable of doing it, so please keep on donating and help us reach our target!
