Story

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On October the 13th I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Ataxia UK- ambitious for someone who hasn't done any serious running since her 10 year old cross country days!

The Ataxias are a group of rare neurological conditions which affects balance, coordination and speech. Friedreich's Ataxia progressively worsens over time. Ataxia can affect anyone at any age, depending on the cause.

The charity is extremely important to me and my family, helping and supporting my younger sister Emily who has Friedreich's Ataxia. Ataxia UK funds all research into trying to find a currently unknown cure. It supports many families across the UK, which is incredible considering it gets no government funding!

I will be running to not only raise money for this crucial charity, but also awareness as Ataxia is still relatively unknown. Please let me know if you would like to learn more about the the condition or the charity and what they do to help families like ours.

So please help me support a fantastic charity, any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated! Plus I will update you on my running stories along the way which let's face it will be a laugh a mile!

Thank you!
