Story
For me, this all began just before covid when I applied to what was then Strictly NHS, unfortunately my application was unsuccessful.
In February of this year I received an e-mail from Strictly NHS, now known as Dance Floor Heroes, and I applied again. To my surprise I was invited to attend one of the heats which were being held all over the country, I went along to the one in Birmingham and had such a great day. From the heats 50 people were selected and from the 50 the final 12 were chosen. I am absolutely thrilled to say that I am one of the 12 finalists.
I am overjoyed to be taking part in what will be a fantastic evening of entertainment on Friday 24th February 2023 at the Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Finalists have been chosen, presenters and judges have been picked, some of whom are from strictly come dancing. I have been paired with the amazing professional partner, Granger Wittering, so Blackpool here we come!
Whilst all this is a dream come true for me. The most important thing is to raise money for the charity Tia's crown which supports physical and mental wellbeing through dance and social interaction. My family is impacted by mental health, especially my daughter, who I'm exceptionally proud of as she's at a constant battle with her mental health.
I know that these are difficult times for people, but I would be eternally grateful if you could donate and support the charity, any amount would be a help to continue the work the charity does no matter how small.
