Helping Hands is so much more than a support centre. It's a lifeline for families living with the daily challenges ASD brings but more importantly provides a much needed safe space for our children and young people. A place where they can go and just be. Like many other charities they have been hit hard throughout this pandemic with all of their yearly fundraising activities shelved in 2020 and it looks set to be the same for 2021. Despite this and the challenges the centre faces they have continued to be a life line to our families throughout the Covid 19 pandemic providing weekly check ins, activity packs and much more. Despite the lack of fundraising activities the centre still has overheads and monthly bills that need to be paid. With that in mind, we decided we wanted to give something back and so the March in March fundraiser was born... 26.2 miles over the month of march finishing just in time for Autism awareness month in April 💙
