Having seen the impact that Alzheimer's disease and related dementias can have, I am determined to raise funds for vital research in this area. Age and disease related brain degeneration are not inevitable. With well funded quality research these pernicious medical problems will eventually fade into history.  Scientific research has defeated smallpox, polio (nearly),  and reduced the impact of many forms of cancer and AIDS.  Please help support the research that will send dementia into the history books.

For the the previous 17 years I commuted weekly from Devon to Reading and often on to Sussex where my Dad lives. I got to know the M5, A303 and M23 roads far too well. Retirement has brought a change of gear. In mid-September 2018, I will be following the National Cycle network routes 3 -> 4 -> 223 -> 2 -> 20 to take a few days to cycle from Bideford in Devon to Bristol to Reading to Guildford to Shoreham to Haywards Heath, West Sussex in the UK. There is a target set to rase about £5 a mile for the approximate 300 miles of the trip. Please help me out by buying a few miles of this journey to support the vital work of Alzheimers Research.
