The Oncology ward (D603) at Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre (BHOC) really needs refurbishment as the decor is old and outdated. The fabulous staff provide amazing, compassionate care to patients who may be in the last year of their life and we think both patients and staff deserve to have a ward environment that matches the high standard of care delivered. We feel the positive effects of a light, bright and modern environment, on the well-being of patients and staff cannot be over estimated; it really will make such a difference to the lives of the people who have to spend time there.

Hayley, Gav, Sophie, Charlotte & Ben are the Deputy Head of Nursing, Head of Nursing, General Manager and Matrons of BHOC and we are dragging our husbands and partners up the 3 peaks of Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon. This is a huge challenge for all of us, having never even thought of attempting anything like this before but we are so passionate about this cause and raising money for Above and Beyond, who are generously supporting the refurbishment of the ward.

The aim is to complete the challenge in 24 HOURS so we would really appreciate your support to help encourage us to get as close to that time as possible.
