At the start of the year a couple of us decided come rain or shine we would get out on our bikes and do something to try to get and stay fit. Posting on social media of our adventures, our group got bigger. We started to move away from our usual route and take on greater distances that would really test how far we've come. We now cycle on a Saturday anywhere between 30 - 50 miles. The name Dad Bod's shows exactly who and what we are. We're definitely not professionals. We decided to work towards completing a route that would take us from Deeside to Bangor and back, that will push us to our limits and then some.  We're happy to be able to raise some money for a charity that does so much for so many.

The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today. Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting.
