Story
We’re Dain Jensen, Seth East, Ross Garnet and James Sullivan.
With the support of The Park Lane Group, we plan to travel the length of the Thames.
We’re doing it to raise money for Hastings-based Charity for Kids to buy a lightweight all-terrain wheelchair for local girl Neisha Potter-Goble.
From its source, the Thames stretches 222 miles to the Isle of Grain. We aim to cover that in 9 days, averaging 25 miles per day. Where it's shallow initially, we will travel on foot, and complete the rest in kayaks.
NEISHA'S INCREDIBLE STORY ...
Neisha has both Connective Tissue Disorder and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. A budding gymnast and athlete from the age of 4, Neisha now has wide-ranging symptoms and extensive joint pain. She has been confined to a wheelchair since 2015.
Despite this, she returned to sport, taking up Judo in 2016. Just 20 months later, Neisha won Gold in the 2018 European and World SN Judo Championships.
A new lightweight, low-back wheelchair with an all-terrain will allow Neisha to regain some independence. We would really appreciate your support via sponsorship to make this happen.
