Story
Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
As many of you are aware in November 2013 our much loved colleague and friend Shirley Westover sadly passed away. Shirley had worked in the kitchen at Dair House for over 21 years and always had a kind word and friendly smile for everyone. We all miss her terribly, as Dair House is not quite the same without her.
We have a very special staff community here at Dair House and so we have all decided that we would like to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Shirley.
So on Saturday March 29th a team of 15 and supporters are travelling up to Derbyshire to take part in the Xrunner 5/10km Wild Run.
This however, is no ordinary run !!!
The Wild Run is a trail and mud run with over sixty challenging obstacles. Our intrepid (and slightly mad) team will expect to encounter mud, water, tunnels, monkey bars, fire, giant walls, cargo nets, balance beams, hurdles, jacobs ladders, tightropes and the assault course.
This is not the usual way we like to start our Easter holiday and is a real challenge for every single one of us!
If you want to see your favourite teacher covered head to toe in mud please, please, please sponsor us and help us reach our target in memory of Shirley.
The more money we raise the muddier we'll get and we promise to supply you with photographic evidence if we reach our target!
