By supporting our work, you will know that you are helping to develop the most promising area of medical research today that will have a lasting impact for generations to come. You can help to make a difference to the lives of millions of people who are affected by such devastating conditions as spinal cord, bone and cartilage damage, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, blood cancer, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, arthritis, glaucoma, corneal blindness, stroke, heart and liver disease.

Story

I am running this half marathon to support one of my best friends Ellie Cator. Her father has recently very unfortunately fallen ill with a rare illness. Therefore, this charity is hugely important for their family along with thousands of others.

The UKSCF is the only UK medical research charity devoted solely to raising funding for stem cell projects. Its aim is to speed up the translation of research from the laboratory to therapies for patients. They have the potential to treat very serious conditions such as cancer, heart attacks, strokes, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and blindness, along with many others.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for taking the time to support an incredibly worthwhile cause. Every penny counts!
