Story
As many people know, my dad lost his battle just over 11 years ago to Leukaemia. He was known for his huge heart and strong soul. A man who became an inspiration to everyone. Daily saving lives as a firefighter, everybody came before himself. He never doubted his strength or passion for life. He travelled and explored the world in so many ways and lived by the moto "one life, live it". So much so he had it printed onto a t-shirt! The last few years of his life were heartbreaking for himself and everyone around him. However, the support we received from the very beginning from Macmillan is unimaginable. So much so, after my dad passed away my mum joined Macmillan to return the favour for years. As sad as the reasons for this adventure, my dad lived the most colourful life and I wish to only follow in his footsteps.
But first, this trip will allow me to begin my thank you towards Macmillan and all the support that came our way, during and after my dads battle. So, I will be taking part in the Macmillan Petra Hike challenge this October covering around 100km in 8 days.
I will hopefully be doing multiple things to raise money for this trip. If i manage to raise the full amount, 100% of the money will go to Macmillan directly. Any kind of support is immensely appreciated and will push me to do the best I can! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Any kind of donation, no matter how small would be absolutely incredible and I will be forever grateful!
Please make a difference with me!
