In October I am going to be running the Liverpool marathon for the Phelan McDermid Syndrome Foundation UK. This charity means a lot to me as my 6 year old niece Brooke  has this  rare condition. The Syndrome is a rare genetic condition caused by a missing piece or other structural change of a chromosome leading to varying symptoms that can cause a wide range of medical, intellectual and behavioural changes depending on each individual. As it is there is no cure but PMSF UK goes above and beyond for the families of people affected by this condition. What they do includes research, providing support, family days and most importantly financial grants for various types of therapies.
