I am over 50 and overweight. I’ve always wondered if I could complete a marathon. The announcement of Rob Burrows MND diagnosis shocked the world of sport, and rugby league in particular. When Rob was a  Rhinos player he would regularly give up his time to help coach young lads in our area. He was fantastic to be around, and everyone loved learning from him. With the recent announcement of Ed Slaters diagnosis, as well as Doddy Weir, we really need to find a cure for MND. So I want to raise £500 for MND research, but this isn’t going to be easy at all. I don’t run and prospect of a marathon seems ridiculous, but thankfully Ames is going to run it as well, so hopefully we can keep each other going!!
