British Gas Great London Swim 2011 · 2 July 2011 ·

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans helps all serving and ex-Service men and women who have lost limbs, or lost the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.

Story

Marty McNeill, Phil Askey, Mattie Harling, Liam Aschettino, Daniel Russell, Damo Kyle, Danny Le Roux, Del Biggs and Ryan Wood from 9 Para Sqn RE will swim 1 mile in open water as part of the Great London Swim (2nd July 2011 - Airborne Engineers reunion weekend) for British Limbless Ex Service Men's Association (BLESMA).

It is the charity that directly supports all our service men and women who lose limbs, the use of limbs or eyes or the sight of an eye in the service of our country

Their good friend Josh was badly injured while searching for IEDs in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He suffered several injuries on New years eve but in true Airborne fashion is making a strong recovery.

They've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see their team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help them smash this goal.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks.
