I am taking part in the "swim serpentine" event to raise money for Live Unlimited - A small local charity that supports looked after children and young care leavers in the borough of Barnet.

Its Driving Ahead scheme is a package of 30 hours’ of
driving lessons and the practical test for young care leavers, which can be a game changer for a vulnerable young person, helping to improve employability, confidence and self-belief.

It also runs Aspire Higher, a networking service to connect care leavers with professionals from different industries to encourage
the young people to make more ambitious and fulfilling career choices.

After a successful pilot the charity is also launching
Outdoor Club, a weekly opportunity for looked after children aged 9-13 to get together and take part in Forest School type activities, to teach them new skills, increase confidence and reduce social isolation.
