I have been given the opportunity to run the 2020 London Marathon in April – an opportunity I have glady (foolishly?) seized upon.

Running 26.2 miles will indeed be a great challenge but it is nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by millions of people affected by cancer. It is for this reason I will be running in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Money raised for the Royal Marsden will help fund four vital areas of cancer care – Research, Equipment, Treatment and Care, and Patient Environment – all of which contribute to more successful outcomes and the lessening of suffering.

So if you do have a few quid spare, please donate to this incredibly worthwhile cause in the knowledge that every £ donated will make a difference and help me get through the race!
