The Hughes APS Trust (formerly GHIC) was founded by expert doctors and researchers to educate, raise awareness, and fund vital research into Hughes Syndrome. We rely entirely on donations to continue our life-changing work. Thank you for your support!

Story

It's probably fair to say I eat too much and definitely fair to say i drink a little bit too much, so the time has finally come to do something about it.

I recently got a bike and suddenly realised that with lockdown the streets of London are sadly deserted so perfect for a novice like me to explore. Nothing beats the feeling of cycling around the greatest city on Earth, so I thought i could do myself some good and at the same time raise some money for a charity very close to my heart.

I am aiming to ride 400Km's by the end of January, in all weathers pounding out at least 100km's a week! considering i've never done anything like this before and look like i've eaten the butchers dog, rather than being fit as...well, its going to be a challenge.

Hughes Syndrome, or as it is sometimes called "Sticky Blood Syndrome" is a major cause of miscarriage, migraine and stroke, three awful conditions that can strike all ages. Hughes Syndrome is still woefully under diagnosed by GP's. Below is a great description of the condition:
