My chosen charity is Samaritans. Samaritans are a mental health support charity with a vision for 2022-2027 that fewer people will die by suicide. They are the only 24/7 working suicide prevention charity in the UK. The charity’s ‘22-'27vision was launched following the pandemic when there was a huge increase indeaths by suicide, and they had 17,000 calls from NHS and social care workers. 

This is something I care about personally and worry in particular about the numberof young people that take their own lives.
