The Chesney Trust believes that a quality education is a girl's human right. We know that female education benefits young women, their families, and their country. Educated women know more about health and nutrition, marry later, have fewer, healthier children, and earn higher incomes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

From October 2012 I shall be cycling the length of Africa through many countries, deserts, Jungles and cities. It will be a huge journey that will take me through the heart of Africa. This will tot up to nearly 13'000 km which is a long way especially on a bike.

The previous year I was fortunate enough to work on the Chesneys Trusts project in Malawi and on return have hoped that I might be able to raise some funds to help get the Edinburgh Girl School up and running. Education is key to the success of Africa in the future rather than relying on goverment hand outs which is what makes this charity so important. This is not a run round the park and will certainly be hard going crossing a vast continent on bike......

So please dig deep and donate now.

For all the details on the journey and more info on me and also to keep track of the cycle as it happens head to the website :
