Story

I’ve got an extremely busy life, a tough (sometimes lonely) full time job as a key worker, twin boys who are 9 and a 3 year old embarking on his first journey into nursery, a long commute everyday that keeps me away from my wife and boys for up to 15 hours a day.  Finding time to reflect on how I feel is one thing, trying to find the time to run is another....

Mental health should be at the forefront of everything that drives us on this year and being able to speak  to our friends and loved ones is really important, something us men have been historically not particularly great at.  Not speaking  about how we feel does cost lives and causes pain and heart ache to the families we leave behind....

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men.CALM PROVIDES> A free and anonymous helpline 0800 58 58 58 and webchat (5pm-12am daily) staffed by trained professionals> Bereavement support > A website www.theCALMzone.net with inspiring content> Campaigns tackling stereotypes of masculinity, suicide and mental health. Help us save lives.
