Charity climb of Mount Snowdon · 3 July 2010

Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

Hi,

As many of you may be aware, my Dad and I are climbing Mount Snowdon on Saturday, July 3rd 2010, in memory of my brother Jordan (picture above), who was killed three years ago by a motorist who was texting on her phone while speeding. The climb is on behalf of the charity Brake, who did much to help myself and my family through a very dark time, so this is our chance to give something back!!

Brake is a national road safety charity that works to stop death and injury on UK roads and to support people who have been bereaved or injured by a road crash. Brake runs Road Safety Week, a national awareness-raising initiative in schools, companies and communities, conducts research into the cause of crashes to inform the government and road users, runs an education service for employers to teach them about their responsibilities for safety when running fleets of vehicles and shouts loudly in the media about the importance of road safety to influence drivers to take more care.

Any donation is very gratefully received, and if you're lucky I may send out exclusive pictures of the blisters that I will no doubt be sporting at the end of the trek!!!

Thank you for your support,

Dan.
