Story
I've joined Team Cav for the big day of the Sheffield 10K and Half Marathon on Sunday 26th September because I want to make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
Frankly, Im not fit enough, but Ill hobble round if I have to.
I lost my Dad when I was 3 to cancer, which is the kind of thing that always sticks with you.
At the time of writing, a 10k is wiping the floor with me. But Im stubborn and I reckon I can get up a couple of hills in a few weeks.
I'll be pounding the streets between now and then and would really appreciate some motivation with your donations. Cavendish do amazing work supporting everyone who turn to them on a free of charge basis but can only do this because of the generosity of the local community. They receive very little government funding just enough to keep their doors open for two weeks each year and I want to do my bit to help them provide their vital services. These races haven't been able to place since 2019 so any donations you can make will be really appreciate by me and Cavendish Cancer Care
Many thanks
