HSBC Triathlon and Fun Run · 13 September 2009 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I know a lot of you think I will not do it, but I am here to prove you all wrong!

To date, I have:

Swum the Channel (David Walliams has nothing on me) 4 times, greased in lard

Cycled for the Tour de France (I was going so fast, you must have missed me- but I was on the BBC-

I was the one in the yellow jersey-or in the back of an ambulance, depending on which day you were watching.  And when I say ambulance I really mean Cannes finest liquid establishment La Chunga)

I have run the New York Marathon in 2 hrs 16 minutes - in a Mankini with my ankles tied together

During my intense fitness training I have eaten 146 Pukka Pies, drunk 4 times my

body weight in Stella, and only wimped out of training once (and that was because I didn't want

to miss the Britain's Got Talent Final)

I hope by training and completing this triathlon, not only will I raise a wad of cash for charity, but I can inspire some of my nearest and dearest to follow my footsteps in leading a healthier lifestyle.  To help you on your way, I have shared 5 Top Tips with you below:

1) Ultimate Fitness Tracks (to make you work harder): Eye of the Tiger by Survivor or Barbie Girl by Aqua

2) Lard is much better than Utterly Butterly - reduces chafing tenfold

3) Following the Cambridge Girls Cycle Team makes you go faster: FACT

4) Following Tony's advice, I do recommend weeing in your wetsuit - not only for warmth but buoyancy as well

5) Mandatory Beer Festival the night before the event, followed by a Lentil Vindaloo

On a more serious note, this is probably going to be the hardest challenge I have ever set myself. I have actually really enjoyed all the training and I'm looking forward to the event on Sunday 13th September.  Please dig deep and give generously for this very worthy charity.

Thank you for your kind generosity and all your support.
