Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Monday 6th June I'll be starting a 1200 mile cycle from Lands End to John O Groats. The plan is to cycle between 80-120 miles per day. The ride will be unsupported - in other words- me, my bike and my 20 year old panniers will be making our own way up the country.
Those that know me well know that I quite like a cycle-so it feels a bit strange to be asking for sponsorship. The reason to ask you for sponsorship is my father in law Geoff.
Geoff has been living with Parkinsons for several years. It's a very challenging disease both for Geoff and his family. Geoff is also a bit of a military hero having reached a senior rank in the RAF and fought in wars for his country. Anyone who knows Geoff also knows what a fantastic and loving character he is.
My bike ride therefore seems like a great opportunity to raise funds for Parkinsons UK - the charity that Geoff and Tricia (Geoffs wife) have suggested. Parkinsons UK are both looking for a cure (which there has been great progress on) and also seeking to change attitudes to the disease.
Please be generous and thank you for your support.
