Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

I'm running the London Marathon for Dan Hallam, who was taking way to soon from us by the horrible condition known as Sepsis. Every now and then you meet people in life who just make you smile. That was Dan. He was one of the nicest fellas you could ever meet and a great Dad to the beautiful Joy. Whenever I'm struggling on a training run and the sun comes out I know that is Dan pushing me along.  We need to do all we can to raise awareness and prevent such tragedies happening to other families. Please help in anyway you can and it'll spur me on in case the sun doesn't come out x
