Story

In memory of Glyn Jones forever in our hearts

Mountains are where heaven meets earth

A long time ago the staff at Newcross hospital Wolverhampton, created a world where Glyn could live to his full potential , creating memories and ever lasting relationships on his journey across the earth , he touched lives and left his mark in a lot of peoples hearts. Also being a nurse he saved many lives too. Glyn was given the chance to live a life that other wise would have been much much shorter he was a lucky man and those around him would have been lucky to know him too.

Both myself and Glyn's son Martin (stick as his dad would call him ) will be training to walk up to mount Snowdon summit twice in a day this will see us cover 36 miles of mountain range , and all dressed as Granny's!!

Why 36 mile why not ? We really wanted to challenge our selves physically , good things and good people are worth fighting for .

Dressed as Granny's for the comedy value of course. Both our dads were always joking and laughing no matter what life threw at them . So two granny's conquering a mountain seemed fitting ....yes ?!!

The following words are from stick himself

"My Dad was in the renal unit at new cross for many hours after his kidney transplant failed luckily they found another match which worked. So if it wasn't for the unit I wouldn't have been able to make great memories with him from 1990 till 2019. I am forever grateful to the staff at the renal unit. This is my way to give back and say thank you. Dad this for you "
