Story

After applying three times, I am ran the London Marathon on Sunday 17th April.  I managed to beat my target time of 4 hours, infishing in 3:57:37.  All that remains is for me to hit my fundraining target!  Thanks to all those who turned out to suppport me, I'm now looking forward to a much needed rest.

At the start of January with the wedding and honeymoon done it was time to start training and have since spent my time, through the cold, wet and rain pounding the streets of London over the weekends and after work.

My long weekend runs have taken me across Hampsted Heath with views of London and the sights that I later run past - Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, the City.  An injury over the last month has slowed down my training yet my longest run to date is 22 miles.  As I approach home, I know there will be a banana, chocolate milk and glass of water on the doorstep waiting for me, quickly followed by a full English breakfast and a hot bath.

I am raising money for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Kidney Association (DaBKA), a local charity wihich my Dad is involved with after losing a kidney at the age of 18.  As they are a small charity, every single penny I raise really makes a difference so please support us in any way you can.
