Story
My eldest daughter Hollie has often struggled at school, and we have often wondered if she was Dyslexic. At the beginning of 2019, through the help of the British Dyslexia Assocation, we had a full assessement carried out on Hollie, which confirmed that she is dyslexic. Through this assessement, we and her school are now in the process of giving her the support and assistance she needs to enable her to acheive what we know she is capable of.
Dyslexia affects people in many ways, and can affect a person's confidence and day to day living, it is not just something that affects reading and writing that it is widely perceived. This is not widely known, and the British Dyslexia Assocation are at the forefront of changing the views of Dyslexia and supporting those with Dyslexia and help them
overcome numerous barriers to make a full contribution to society.
Fundraising is key to their efforts, and to help with the assistance they have, and will provide, to Hollie, i will be cycling the Prudential Ride London 100 miles in August, hopefully in good weather this year!
Both myself, Amy, Hollie and Lexi, and the British Dyslexia Assocation, would be delighted if you could contribute and help this worthy cause.
Thanks
Dan
