Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year my family lost a very special, talented and wonderful girl called Bryony Hollands who was my cousin and friend. On the 21st of August 2015 Bryony was hit by a drunk driver whilst walking along the pavement in Nottingham - aged 19. Nordoff Robbins  was a charity close to Bryony's heart as she loved music and was a very talented musician. Myself and my Dad came up with the idea of a cycle ride from where we live in Exmouth, Devon to Maidenhead, Berkshire which is where Bryony grew up.

As a young girl Bryony and her family spent many holidays with us in Exmouth and I know Bryony especially loved our beach. Therefore we thought it would be fitting to undertake the journey by bike between Exmouth and Maidenhead in her memory.

We will be setting off from Exmouth on the 26th June and plan to arrive in Maidenhead on 29th June. All your donations will go towards the Nordoff Robbins Charity. I want to honour Bryony's memory and help the charity she supported.
