Story
I'm running in memory of Terry Cork, who sadly passed from earlier this years after a long battle. I found out the Terry was connected with the Foundation (BLF).
While he lived in Melbourne he became part of the Melbourne Chelsea Supporters Club, and that's how myself and many others got to know this wonderful man. Terry was the friendliest bloke you could ever wish to meet and he had a smile that would lift you spirits and was always up for a laugh. He touched a lot of hearts in Melbourne, he is sorely missed.
I decided I wanted to run London and I found out that Terry's charity were offering spots, so I applied and was luck enough to be selected to represent both the BLF and Terry.
1 in 5 people in the UK has a lung condition. That means 10,000 new diagnoses per week.I'm running the London Marathon for the British Lung Foundation, the only UK charity looking after the nation's lungs. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world without lung disease.Just £8 allows one of the BLF's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering support to someone in need. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
