Hood to Coast Relay · 26 August 2022 to 27 August 2022 ·

Support the 25th and final Running for Shelter Team in the 2022 Hood to Coast Relay, the largest self-appointed relay in the world with 1,000 teams of 12 persons each, running from the tree line on Mt. Hood to the Pacific Ocean.

Story

This will be the 25th and final race for our Running for Shelter Hood to Coast Relay team aptly named "Running for Shelter's Last Relay". Our fundraising goal is $100,000 to be split between two affordable housing non-profits, National Church Residences and Horizon Housing Foundation.

I have run with the Running for Shelter team numerous times to complete the "mother of all relays" Hood to Coast. I've run in the pre-dawn hours, in the twilight, and waited to run at the baton exchange (it's a relay) because the van broke down and/or got lost! So many stories. But more importantly, close to  $1M raised by our team over the years that goes 100% to produce and preserve affordable housing.

In 2019 I thought I had run my last legs but was compelled to come back for this, the actual "Last Relay" so that our grand total will cross the $1M mark.

Help us get over the $1M finish line and support the delivery of green and affordable housing.

100% of your donation is tax deductible -- and 100% goes to the non-profits National Church Residences (https://www.nationalchurchresidences.org/) and Horizon Housing Foundation (https://horizonhf.org/)
