10 PEAK CHALLENGE
Well, we did it! It took 13 1/2 hours of walking/climbing, but all 10 members of the team completed the challenge. The weather conditions were not the best; after climbing half-way up the first mountain the fog descended and later in the day the rain started - so we did not see much in the way of stunning views and were heavily reliant on map and compass. We did though have the most amazing day, a day which saw 10 colleagues work together as a team and support one another during the tough times. We got some glimpses of the view and we learnt the true meaning of the word "challenge". What is the most amazing though is the difference that will be made from the funds we have raised. We do not have a final total yet, but it looks like it will be in excess of £7,000 - all of this going to Lewis Manning Hospice in Poole - so a massive thank you to everyone that sponsored us. If you have not managed to sponsor us it is not too late - this site will remain open for another 3 months.
You can have a look at the photos to get some idea of the scale of the challenge.
