Everest Challenging MND
Campaign by Challenging MND (RCN 1182607)
Challenging MND inc our Founder Alex Gibson, to climb The Cheesegrater, London (52 floors), X 38, equating to 8,849m (Everest). Each ascent will take a fit person 20 minutes, for Alex: a 35 hour challenge! 10 places available

Story

As someone with MND, I'm joining in with this:-

My aim is to achieve ascending at least half the height of Everest. Then, see how I feel / check for medical risk and hopefully continue the total 8800m (39x ascents of 52 levels).

Alex Gibson founded Challenge MND and his latest 'Mountain' of a Challenge, will be a small team of us walking up 8,800m (Summit of Everest) in the iconic Cheesegrater building in London.

An able bodied fit individual, would take 20 minutes to make one (52 storey) ascent of the building... to conquer the height of Everest the Team will need to complete 39 ascents!! For Alex and the limited mobility that his Motor Neurone Disease has caused, this will take him 35+ hours!! We are looking to raise awareness and funds to support families living with this disease... for details please see www.challengingmnd.org If you would like to secure 1 of the 10 available places on this once in a lifetime event and can access a corporate sponsor as well as personally raising a minimum of £100 hurry to get in touch.. places are going fast and are on a first come first served basis. Please contact us at liane.iles@challengingmnd.org  NB Event merch available: £25 per shirt
