Story
So I read about the @DavidGoggins 4x4x48 challenge. Basically running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours and for some reason I decided I wanted to do it and raise money for a good cause.
When Darcie was born there were complications and she arrived not breathing and was rushed straight to the @Trevormann baby unit (TMBU). This was without doubt the scariest thing I’ve ever been through. Having a baby is scary enough without any complications and for the 1 week Darcie was in there the doctors, nurses and every member single member of staff were absolutely incredible. The nurses were there to reassure us whilst we sat terrified bed her bedside day and night. The care Darcie received was second to non and we are eternally grateful to every single me ever of staff.
I have wanted to give something back ever since but as anyone who has a child will know it’s incredibly hard to find the time to stay fit once children come along. So I decided to roll with it and get fat and unhealthy for 3 years. I’ve now started running again and fancy taking on this challenge.
I know right now is a very tough time most financially and I don’t want to add to any financial stress anyone is feeling. But if anyone could spare a few pounds for an incredible cause I would be incredibly grateful. Your donation will help provide much-needed pieces of equipment, including specialist incubators and monitors for premature babies.
