On November 6th, I will be running 26.2 miles to raise awareness for the cancer and power wheelchair communities. Every dollar donated will have a direct impact and be put towards helping a family in need. 

I am also running in memory of my mom, Gina Cava and my Uncle Larry.  Both fought their cancer diagnoses with determination and an abundance of smiles. Ultimately, they both lost their battle with cancer.  I am running the marathon because I can, and so many others can't. I am running to try to have an impact towards helping a family that is struggling the same way my family struggled during the loss of my mom and uncle.  I am running because I know they are both watching me and would want me to succeed in this goal of finishing a marathon and live my life to reach my highest potential.
