Story

Due to injury and Covid, I have had to change the event I am now competing in and instead of the IOW ultra I will now be running a more local route. On September the 18th 2021 I will be attempting to complete the Purbeck Ultra marathon, 45 miles around the Purbeck hills!

I’m hoping you might show me your support by donating to my chosen charity, MIND. As a charity that fights tirelessly to ensure everyone experiencing mental health problems gets support and respect, it is a cause close to my family’s heart.

In 2003 my father started to suffer from depression. A few short stays in hospital and plenty of help from family and friends sadly just weren't enough and he went missing in February 2004. We know now that he had taken his own life but it was 21 months before his body was discovered in November 2005.

Exercise was one of the things that my Dad loved and a passion that I share, so if any of the money I can raise goes on to help others in the same situation, the blisters will be worth it!

Please donate what you can, it’s a great charity doing great work. This is the same page as before so please check you haven’t already donated!
