Story

Hey!

As you may know, in August I lost my Mum to Lung Cancer. She was loving, courageous, and the heart beat of our family. She gave it her all and battled right to the end.

The year was really difficult but also filled with lots of memories, we created a lot of new memories and reminisced on many of old.

Cancer is a brutal disease that took Mum way too early at 69 years old. Together we fought it and tried to overcome the disease in so many ways, but we were beaten. As cancer touches so many of us I only wish we were able to read the signs earlier and want something to be done to raise awareness.

Sadly my good friend, James also lost his Mum to cancer a few years back aged just 52. Together we will be running the marathon, raising money to support Cancer research in the hope that less families in the future have to go through what we did.

I really mean it when I say no donation is too small; anything at all you can give will be gratefully received.

With thanks,

Dan
