Story
Still trying to up the challenge I think this could be my limit. The Spartan Race consists of three parts:
The Sprint - 5+ km, 15 obstacles, Sat 30th August.
The Super - 13+ km, 21 obstacles, Sun 31st August.
The Beast - 20+ km, 26 obstacles, Sat 11th October.
As per the usual i shall be running in memory of our good friend Louisa. Any donation, no matter how small or big will be greatly appreciated and will be added incentive for me to complete the challenge in October.
I thank you for reading this and for any donations you may make!
Well! Have completed the first two runs. It literally took every last ounce of energy I had to complete the second day. The first day turning out to be 7.5km did not help! I have flipped tyres, jumped fire, crawled and waded through mud, rivers and ponds, carried sandbags, two full 20 litre jerry cans and one log, hoisted a 60 kilo weight, climbed a large rope, swung a cross monkey bars and rings, thrown spears, jumped hurdles, carried 50 kilo stone balls, crawled under barbed wire and clambered cargo nets, dragged tyres on a chain, carried full ammunition tins and scaled walls amongst other delights. My upper body aches all over and walking is tough right now, not to mention the superficial cuts and bruises all over my body. Totally worth it though. Completed the Sprint in 66 minutes and the Super in 1hr 58m.
Should be all healed just in time to go all out for the Beast!
