We build a society in which autistic individuals feel understood and empowered to be their full self and live their best life.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may now know, I’m taking part in a run with some people in London on Sunday 21 April 2013,  you may have heard of it?  The 2013 London Marathon! (Please do feel free to forward to anyone else you feel would be willing to make a donation).

While I am really looking forward to the challenge and will give it everything,  I WILL DO THIS ONLY ONCE !

Much more significantly,  I aim to raise funds for CASPA www.caspabromley.org.uk (Children on the Autistic Spectrum Parents Association) which is a fantastic local charity based near home in Bromley, Kent.  Set up in 2002, CASPA currently work with around 100 children, young people (aged 0-25 years) and their families every week. They are passionate about providing inspirational activities and opportunities for them to develop their social, communication and independent living skills,  gain confidence and increase their chances of integration into society which many others take for granted  Some of the activities include sport, drama, visual arts, social clubs, holiday activities and residential trips which brings the children and young people together, break down barriers, build confidence and enable them to relax and have fun.  My friend Helen Dyer (helen@caspabromley.org.uk) is a director of CASPA, and one of the driving forces behind its success, and continued efforts to help those affected by Autism.

Whilst I am raising essential funds for CASPA, I will also be running in the memory of three hugely influential and inspirational men to me, who dearly loved the times and company with family and friends, and life and sport  in general.  Grandad, Leslie Kemp (1931-2002); Uncle Martin Kemp (1961-2003) and Step-Dad Mark Jones (1961-2004). There are simply not enough words to express the amount of love, support, guidance and incredible impact this trio had not only on my life, but all those around them.  They all remain firmly in our daily thoughts.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I really appreciate all your support, and thank you for any donations (although please please do not feel obliged to do so).  Any donations would be very gratefully received by this wonderful organisation.  Thank you in advance.

Best Wishes,

Daniel Kemp
