Story
Even before his battle with MND, Rob Burrow was a hero to a generation of lads growing up in Leeds. Lads like me.
We grew up not just watching Rob Burrow. but idolising his bravery. talent and sheer commitment. For a bloke who stands at just 5’5, I've never seen more a giant of a man.
Every time Rob, or (Sir) Kevin Sinfield appear on the news I find myself inspired and heartbroken in equal measure. I don't know Rob personally, but seeing him and his family carry this fight makes me feel compelled to help in whatever way I can.
I'm no runner. Not by a long shot. And being honest, training through the Leeds winter for my first marathon is the most daunting challenge I've ever faced. But Rob inspires me to keep going, knowing he'll keep fighting until his last breath.
