Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!

Hi, I'm Daniel and Kaci is one of my closest friends who was diagnosed with a condition called Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP).

I am doing a Charity Skydive to help raise money for the Charity Make-a-wish, who have kindly granted Kaci a Wish. I will be jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft on the 24th October 2020 and would greatly appreciate any kind donations to support this amazing charity that grants wishes for many children like Kaci with life threatening conditions.

Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) is a rare condition that causes hundreds or thousands of small growths in the Large Bowel. These are called Polyps. They usually start to appear in their early teens. If the polyps are not treated, one or more of them will develop into cancer.

To avoid this happening to Kaci, she will need to have major surgery to remove her large bowel, the doctor is hoping he won't have to carry out the surgery until Kaci hits her early twenties, to enable her to enjoy her late teens with the rest of her friends.

Kaci currently has to have regular colonoscopy's to keep a check on the amount of polyps growing each year, to help decide when the best time will be to perform the surgery.

Kaci also has to an have Upper Endoscopy to look for early signs of Stomach Cancer or Small Bowel Cancer, although the risk is much lower than bowel cancer, and we are hopeful Kaci won't develop either of these so it doesn't cause her any more Heartache or complications.

Any small donation is welcome to help this amazing charity and to help my friend Kaci to have her wish fulfilled.

Thank-you!!
