Daniel Pickard is raising money for Lakelands Day Care Hospice

Great Glen 5 Day Canoe Journey · 12 September 2022

Lakelands Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support services for people living with a life limiting illness. Our aim is to enhance quality of life for those in need and their loved ones in an environment that provides tranquillity, support and care.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Lakelands Hospice offers vital care to so many Corby families. Lakelands receives no Government financial support and is solely reliant on donations, bequests and fund raising.

My brother Jess & I will be embarking on a 60 miles 5 day canoe trip, paddling from Fort William in the Highlands, along the Caledonia Canal, Loch Lochy, Loch Oich & Loch Ness finishing at Inverness.

Jess & I had fun a couple of years ago paddling about 80miles of the River Spey over 5 days, we spent as much time viewing the bottom of the Spey as we did the surface, the fact our combined age is 109 years and combined weight is circa. 38 stone may have had a bearing on this!

This is going to be a gruelling 5 days, but a challenge we will love and endeavour to complete. Any amount you can afford to give will make such a difference, no matter how small. If you can donate please consider Gift Aid also, this can add a significant amount to what we raise and will cost you nothing.

Thanks you so much for reading this and for any support you can offer! Big love, Dan & Jess (AKA: Team Nessy).
