Story
Hello, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On 13 June I participated in the National Samaritan Walk, that's 17 miles around Strathpeffer (close to Inverness) ... without previous walking experience, or confidence-inspiring levels of stamina. You'll be pleased to know that I finished the walk - feeling like a giant sore muscle, exhausted like I've never been before in my life, but elated and happy about my achievement!
I did this to raise money for the Leicester Samaritans branch, where I have been volunteering for the past year and a half. We are one of the few remaining 24/7 branches in the region, and our services have been running continuously for the past 46 years. To honour this achievement I've set my fundraising goal to £247.
If you want to know more about Samaritans, please visit www.samaritans.org, and if you want to know which branch would benefit from your donations, have a look at this website: http://www.leicestersamaritans.org/
Please consider sponsoring me for this walk so that Leicester Samaritans can continue supporting people in distress and dispair.
Thank you very much
Daniela Rudloff
By the way: Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samaritans Leicester Branch gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
