Daniel's page for UK Sepsis Trust

Ayesha Heaton is raising money for UK Sepsis Trust
In memory of Daniel Hallam
Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Since Dan's death we have been raising money for charities in his name.  Raising money for the UK Sepsis Trust helps them to continue to raise awareness of sepsis both with individuals and with health professionals.  Sepsis can look like flu so its easy to miss but the consequences can be tragic.  Our lovely Dan died way, way too soon and his family wants to help make sure other families don't  have to go through this experience.

If you think there is a chance it could be sepsis  just ask "Could it be SEPSIS?"  see the photo for symptoms

thank you so much

Ayesha and family
