Dear friends,

I could write a 40000 word essay about my thoughts on cancer, grief and Charles' ability to pause and see the beauty in the world but I'll just say this for now... 

In February 2020 I will be traveling to Tanzania in East Africa, where I hope to raise funds for Cancer Research by climbing to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. 

I'll be making this journey in memory of my best friend who passed away earlier this year at the age of 38 after a 5-year battle with bowel cancer. I feel Charlie's presence around me every day and I'm sure he'd find the idea of me climbing up a mountain to be very amusing. I hope to do him proud by raising money for the primary cancer research charity in the UK in order to combat this cruel and relentless disease.

UPDATE! After 6 gruelling days on Kilimanjaro I successfully reached the summit at 6:45am on 27th Feb. Im going to leave the Just Giving page active in the hope of reaching the £10k goal.
