Coast to Coast Cycle 2024
Campaign by GroceryAid (RCN 1095897)
On Wednesday 17th - Sunday 21st July 2024, over 80 riders will be cycling Coast to Coast from Whitehaven to Whitby raising vital funds for their industry charity, GroceryAid.

Story

In July 2024 five Thatchers employees will join over 80 other grocery colleagues from across the industry to take part in a three-day cycle challenge from the beautiful Georgian coastal town of Whitehaven to the seaside resort of Whitby. We will be travelling over 373km and climbing over 5,500m in elevation. Riders will be putting their body to the test, physically and mentally, all with the aim of raising vital funds for their industry charity, GroceryAid. More colleagues than ever are reaching out for support. In 2022/2023 we experienced a 44% increase in the number of incidents of support and 34,958 incidents of emotional and practical help alone. Meeting this increased demand is only made possible through your support. Along the way, riders will cycle through three stunning National Parks, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, finishing with a climb of Rosedale Chimney. Other climbs will include Fleet Moss and Howardian Hills.
